Kurt’s career includes senior roles with global organizations such as McKinsey, IBM, Ecolab, and Thomson Reuters, as well as leadership positions in early-stage and privately held companies. He has also served on multiple corporate and nonprofit boards, giving him a broad view of governance, strategy, and organizational dynamics. He holds a BS in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, combining technical rigor with deep financial and strategic acumen.

Kurt Lieberman is a retired senior executive and management consultant who partners with CEOs, board members, and senior leaders to strengthen their effectiveness and unlock their full leadership potential. With experience as a CEO, board member, and general manager, he understands executive perspectives firsthand and brings a practical, empathetic approach to consulting, coaching, and mentoring. Kurt is known for collaborative problem solving, helping clients think creatively about complex challenges while staying grounded in organizational realities.
His background spans both public and private companies, from early-stage ventures to global enterprises such as McKinsey, IBM, Ecolab, and Thomson Reuters. He has worked across technology, information services, and financial services, and has held numerous board roles in both corporate and nonprofit settings, including organizations in education, the arts, welfare, and social services. This breadth enables him to help leaders navigate complexity, manage stakeholders, and build healthier, more effective organizations.
In retirement, Kurt devotes more time to travel, wine, and learning French, while remaining deeply engaged as a mentor. He and his wife of nearly four decades take pride in their successful daughter and son, both of whom continue to rely on their father as a trusted career advisor.
